update

WOW! It's been a crazy couple of weeks. I flew out to Louisiana May 6th for my sister's wedding. I didn't know I was going until Sunday, May 2nd. I returned late Monday night. I had a fantastic time. I took Leelee with me. He finally got to meet all of his aunts & uncles on my side as well as his cousins. The girls stayed home with Stephen. It was tough not having my entire family with me but I just tried to focus on being with my mom and all of my siblings. It was the first time we have all been together since my sister's wedding in 2006. We relaxed outside most of the time. Catching up each other's lives and of course swapping stories from growing-up. My poor mother had no idea half the stuff we did. There were lots of tears from laughing so hard. =) Anyway, God is so good because I really wanted to attend Colette's wedding and through prayer (especially to the BVM) I held out hope. =) Sunday night my sister called me to tell me I was coming. I was thrilled!

As I stated before, Leelee & I returned late Monday night. We brought home a stomach bug...you know, the kind that has you running to the bathroom to attend to both ends of your body. The girls & my hubby got sick on Friday. It was definitely a hands-on week with my kids. BUT, I was so fortunate to be well to take care of my family. My sickness only lasted one day. Thank God. I don't know how I would have handled everyone being sick at the same time. I hope it never happens. This was our first flu-like illness in our home. We've had the upper respiratory infections numerous times but that doesn't tie you down like the flu does. Thankfully we are well now. On a happier note, we did catch up on rest & sleep.

I'm looking forward to a good week ahead. Here in CT it's supposed to be sunny and warm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Plus, we're looking for a new place to rent. Our place right now is a little too small for our family of 5 (800 sq. ft). Please pray we find one bigger, affordable & in the same town we are currently residing.
